Not sure if you need to upgrade your QuickBooks?

I still have 1 client on QuickBooks Pro 2004. He works in a small, isolated environment but QuickBooks 2004 is not broken, so he doesn't see any reason to upgrade and every time I go to his office to do his bookkeeping, its still working just fine.
Not sure if you need to upgrade? Here is Intuit's Sunset Policy:
"Live technical support and business services such as payroll and
credit card processing will be discontinued for QuickBooks 2008
and QuickBooks 2007 for Mac on May 31, 2011."

If you aren't sure which version is best for your company use this very helpful PDF from Intuit: "Guide to the QuickBooks 2011 Lineup".

If you are thinking about upgrading to Enterprise Edition because your data file is too big consider sending it to the "shrinker" I recommend instead. For $400.00 you can get a data file with just the last few year's data in it, instead of investing in Enterprise Edition to hold many year's data. Here's the info: QB File Shrink.
