How to find the "Qbwin.log file" on a Mac?

If you're working on a Mac file that doesn't seem stable, or you've just transferred your file from QuickBooks for Windows to QuickBooks for Mac, you should always rebuild your file-right away. Rebuilding finds and repairs missing links, extra data, or other non-conformaties in your data file.

If the Rebuild is not working, the data is still unstable or not passing the data integrity check, you're going to need to do some more troubleshooting. You'll dig in and find out what the Rebuild is doing on a Mac with the "Quickbooks.log" file. The thing is: it's really tough to find. Good thing Intuit gave us a nice Inuit's Step-by-step guide to finding the QuickBooks.log file for the Mac.

Here's my extra little bit of advice: if your data fails an integrity check and a rebuild works, run the integrity check again. If it passes-great! You are done for the day. But run it again tomorrow, and again next week, and then once every year to keep your QuickBooks for Mac data file healthy.
